Description: J. Énoïl Michaud was born in Saint-Antonin, Québec September 26, 1888 and died in 1966. He received his B.A. from l'Université Laval in 1910 and his LL.B from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1913. Elected MLA February 24, 1917, he was re-elected in 1920, 1925 and 1930. In 1933 he was elected MP for Restigouche-Madawaska. Re-elected in 1935, he was named Minister of Fisheries, a position he held until 1942.In 1942, he became Minister of Transport. In 1945, he was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick, King's Bench. He served as mayor of Edmundston from 1919 to 1920 and from 1931 to 1936.
