Description: R.A. Clarke, Superintendent of the Edmundston division of the Canadian National Railway tosses the ceremonial first shovel of dirt to officially mark the beginning of construction of the new train station in Edmundston. This new station replaces the National Trancontinental train station, (which later became Canadian National) built in 1912. In the back are several local employees of Canadian National Railways.
