Description: On May 31, 1974 a group of 27 persons from Saint-Basile including 11 firemen received emergency first-aid certificates following a course given by the members of St. John Ambulance Brigade. Kneeling are, left to right Georges Cyr, Pierre Grondin, Roméo Thériault, Réjean Rioux and Jean-Paul Thibodeau. Sitting are: Jean-Claude Boutot, Raoul Clavet, Georges Verret, Martin G. Cyr, Edgar Doiron (Superintendant of the St. John Ambulance), Lawrence Levesque (Instructor St. John Ambulance), Father Almer Levasseur, Anthème Bois, Armand Bossé and Robert Leblanc. Standing : Guildo and Albert Martin, Jacqueline Cyr, Concorde Clavet, Gemma Leblanc, Lorraine Bossé, Kathleen Verret, Nora Martin, Normand Mercure and Guilman Martin.
