Description: Two hundred trucks, loaded with barrels of potatoes, border both sides of the Trans-Canada Highway, in Grand Falls, in an act of protest against the Federal government's refusal to grant production surplus subsidies. The minister of Agriculture, J.-Adrien Levesque, announced Friday, May 5 that the growers receive an assistance program through the agricultural stabilization program, an amount of $1.20 the barrel.
